Standards in Mexico

Standards in Mexico is a jazz trio recording that revisits songs deeply rooted in Latin American musical memory through a contemporary jazz perspective.

Rather than reinterpreting these pieces as historical artifacts, the trio approaches them as living material—music shaped by listening, collective interaction, and the space between sounds. The focus is on dialogue, restraint, and shared time, allowing each song to unfold organically without excessive arrangement or virtuosity.

Recorded in an acoustic trio format, the album reflects a way of making music grounded in attention and presence, where tradition is not preserved but reactivated in the present.
